Biographie

( Disponible en anglais seulement )

Gillian is a member of Miller Thomson’s corporate team and Education Law practice group, approaching her work with school boards and not-for-profit corporations with the first-hand experience of a decision-maker, and the background of a litigator. She understands that sound legal advice, combined with solid corporate and governance practices, are essential to good organizational outcomes.

Gillian has advocated for her clients at numerous administrative tribunals as a former staff lawyer for a community legal clinic. Her knowledge of the public policy process, combined with her experience as the past Chair of the Halton District School Board, Vice Chair of William Osler Health Services, and a member of numerous other Boards of Directors inform her pragmatic approach to legal issues.

Gillian began her legal career as a general practitioner in community-based law firms in northern Alberta and then southwest Ontario, and has since built her practice on a strong foundation of personal service and a commitment to developing cost-effective resolutions while protecting her clients’ interests.

Gillian continues to be an active member of her own community, and appreciates any opportunity to enjoy hiking, cycling and skiing with her husband and four children.
