Biographie
( Disponible en anglais seulement )Clifford Hart's practice is restricted to representing employers in the areas of labour relations, employment and sports law.
Mr. Hart advises employers of both union and non-union workplaces on a broad range of issues including the interpretation and administration of collective agreements, union organizing campaigns, unfair labour practices, strikes and picketing, human rights and wrongful dismissal. He also has special expertise as counsel in employment standards issues.
Mr. Hart appears regularly as employer counsel in grievance and interest arbitrations, and before administrative tribunals including the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.
He acts as employer spokesperson and strategist in the negotiation of collective agreements in the private sector and broader public sector. He also advises employers on the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
Mr. Hart also acts as counsel to National Hockey League clubs in salary arbitration disputes with their players.
Mr. Hart regularly lectures to clients and other groups on topical labour issues and is co-author of "Canadian Employment Law Fact Book".
