We are seeking a Litigation Support Technical Analyst to join our Information Technology (IT) team.  Reporting into the IT Manager or Project Leader, the Technical Analyst will support eDiscovery and document review operations through the use of common and specialized applications and skills. The Litigation Support Technical Analyst will consult with end-users to identify current operating procedures, to clarify software/ hardware objectives, and write end-user and support documentation to describe litigation application functionalities, installation and operating procedures.

In this role, your tasks will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Researching, testing, installing, supporting and configuring litigation support systems for the Litigation Practice Group. Work in conjunction with the Applications group to perform application upgrades for all litigation support tools (Eclipse, Relativity, Summation and Primafact);
  • Managing all data within the litigation support application’s and archive and file data according to approved network storage directives;
  • Creating and converting cases within litigation applications, archiving cases, transferring electronic data, managing secure file transfers, managing litigation team hardware (laptops, usb keys, usb hard drives etc.), managing network scanning and printing processes, and administering user account and security of all internal and hosted litigation support technology;
  • Preparing and/or maintaining documentation pertaining to litigation processes and procedures in support of litigation work flow;
  • Working with Directors, Litigation Support Department to develop and implement eDiscovery best practices, including quality control measures and quality assurance checks for production deliverables;
  • Providing consultation on trial technical support requirements, assist with on-site and courtroom technology, and provide on-site support and trial presentation services as required;
  • Troubleshooting litigation software technical problems by escalating issues to outside vendor as required and provide solutions to the litigation practice;
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the litigation practice.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable;
  • Familiar with e-discovery applications, relational databases and client-server concepts. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required;
  • Fluency in English and French is preferred but not required;
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • A high level of accuracy and a strong client service orientation are critical;
  • Diplomatic with good written and oral communication skills.
