So Yin Woo practices corporate commercial and banking law. She has acted for financial institutions and corporate borrowers in a number of substantial project financing transactions for the development of roads, commercial buildings and manufacturing facilities, through syndicated credit facilities and issuance of debt and convertible instruments. She has also advised clients on a wide range of matters, including incorporation, the establishment of joint ventures, shareholders agreement, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, cross border investments and financing, contracts relating to infrastructural projects and public offering of securities.
Prior to moving to Vancouver with her family, So Yin practised for ten years in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She graduated with LL.B. (Hons.) from Monash University, Melbourne. So Yin also holds a degree in Economics from Monash University with an accounting major.
So Yin reads and writes Chinese and Malay, and speaks Mandarin and Cantonese. She is a member of the British Columbia Law Society, the Canadian Bar Association and a non-practising member of the Malaysian Bar Council.
