Pierre Paquet is a litigator and Partner in the Montréal office of Miller Thomson Pouliot.
He serves a diverse clientele that includes financial institutions, real estate developers, manufacturing companies, investors, as well as public and parapublic organizations.
He has acted before specialized tribunals and boards and common law courts at all levels. As well, he has pleaded before national and international arbitration boards. Cases in which he has been involved relate to, among other matters, injunctions and contractual or extra-contractual liability litigation, acting either on behalf of plaintiffs or defendants.
Mr. Paquet has extensive experience in cases involving contractual interpretation of commercial contracts or litigation relating to directors, shareholders or managers liability. He has also acted in cases involving determination of professional liability of trustees, accountants, actuaries and financial advisors.
Mr. Paquet has been involved in litigation relating to the interpretation and application of regulatory laws governing financial institutions.
Mr. Paquet has also acted before administrative tribunals and common law courts on behalf of energy developers and transporters regarding permitting and land rights acquisition and determination.
