Profile

David Martin practices civil litigation and administrative law.  The emphasis of his administrative law practice is on the law relating to self-governing professional bodies.  David advises self-governing professional bodies on their governing statutes and is regularly called upon to make revisions to such statutes, the regulations and bylaws of such bodies.  He also acts for the professional associations in disciplinary action taken against a member and as independent counsel to disciplinary tribunals.

In his practice involving self-governing professional associations, David represents such clients in court when appeals are taken from disciplinary action and in litigation on all issues that affect such bodies, such as registration issues.

David defends clients before the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal and at all levels of court.

Away from the office, David is an avid tennis player and, in the winter, skis regularly.
