On September 26, 2017, artificial intelligence startup Zoom.ai announced the acquisition of automated data analysis and visualization startup, SimplyInsight. Both firms are based in Toronto. SimplyInsight founders Amanda Parker and Alexey Adamsky have joined the Zoom.ai team as part of the acquisition.
Miller Thomson advised SimplyInsight and its principals in this transaction with a team that included Max Spearn (M&A) and Michelle MacGillivray (labour and employment).
