On June 2, 2017, GFL Environmental Inc. announced that it had completed the acquisition of Envirocan Environmental Services, an integrated waste collection, recycling and organics processing business based in Alberta.
GFL, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, is a diversified environmental services company providing a comprehensive line of solid waste, soil remediation, and liquid waste services through its platform of facilities across Canada and in Southeastern Michigan.
John Tidball of Miller Thomson advised GFL on environmental and waste management regulatory matters with respect to this acquisition.
