John MacKay is an articling student in the Calgary office of Miller Thomson. John completed his JD at the University of Calgary in 2017. Prior to law school, John obtained his BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta in 2014. During his law studies, John was exposed to many areas of the law as a volunteer with Student Legal Assistance and as a research assistant.

While attending law school, John was involved in an entrepreneurial partnership during which he obtained valuable business experience.

John is an avid collector of designer board games and in his spare time likes to gather friends and family to play them with.
