Articling Student Programme

Hiring

The London office generally hires one student for its articling programme.

Student Experience

Our student is exposed to a wide variety of experiences during his or her articling year. Our student is given the opportunity to, among other things, assist and accompany lawyers to discoveries, hearings, trials, mediations, commercial deal closings and client meetings. Our student is also assigned and has full carriage of Small Claims Court files.

Social Events

We encourage our student to participate in all aspects of firm life, including the firm’s social activities and student-specific activities through the local law associations.

Mentoring

As part of our support structure, our articling student is paired with a partner who acts as an articling principal. Other members of the Student Committee also act as resources and liaisons to our student.

Feedback

We evaluate our student's progress through a formal evaluation process, which occurs mid-way through the articling programme term (usually in January).

Professional Development

Throughout articling, our student will continue his or her professional development with additional continuing legal education programmes designed specifically for him or her. As in the summer programme, our student is invited to attend all firm-wide and practice-specific continuing legal education programmes.
