Document Processing Specialist – Toronto

We are seeking a Document Processing Specialist to join our Toronto office. This role is a full-time, permanent position working from 8:00am to 4:00pm, under the direction and guidance of the Document Processing Supervisor.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of one year document production work experience in a law firm, as well as, strong communication skills, technical and troubleshooting ability, the ability to prioritize and work under pressure with multiple deadlines, strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading and grammatical skills, and ability to use independent judgement to solve problems.

To be successful in this role, you possess:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required;
  • Knowledge of DeltaView, OmniPage, Adobe Standard;
  • Knowledge of DocXTools Conversion software;
  • Excellent client services and communication skills; ability to correspond professionally and effectively with internal client groups;
  • Working knowledge of legal terminology, document processing concepts and techniques, methods and equipment capabilities;
  • Must be flexible to work overtime and statutory coverage on occasion.

The Document Processing Specialist will primarily be responsible for document creation of various legal and other documents through copy typing, transcription, scanning or other methods.  Document work includes converting styles, performing mail merges, inserting media into presentations, cross-referencing, indexing, creating tables, and working with graphs and objects. The Document Specialist will also provide Firm-wide document support using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).

This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working on large, complex documents, having variety in their day, and an interest in the technical aspects of document production.
