Help Desk Support Specialist

We are seeking a responsible and organized Help Desk Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role will be based in our London office but will also support the Kitchener-Waterloo office.
Responsibilities include providing first level support to the end user community for all Firm standard applications and hardware provisions and also provide hands on technical support, including remote support if needed.
This role is a combination of telephone, e-mail, and desk side support across all of the Firm’s locations. The candidate will work alongside fellow Help Desk staff members nationally and escalate issues to other IT Department staff, as required.
Qualifications
General:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Work well within a team-oriented environment
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Superior ability to learn new concepts, products and technologies
- Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in computer science or equivalent college related diploma
- 2-3 years experience in customer service
Technical
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office
- Lotus Notes
- Experience with installation, set-up and troubleshooting of desktop and mobile computing technologies as well as Blackberry handheld devices
- Experience with Document Management Systems (Interwoven, Workshare, etc.)
- Printer knowledge (Xerox, HP)
- Practice specific legal applications (Summation, TimeMap, etc.)
Hours
This position requires the person to work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, depending on projects and deadlines, overtime will be required.
Travel
This position is mainly based in London. However, occasional travel to Kitchener-Waterloo (and/or Guelph) will be required.
