On June 19, 2012 Bill 13, Accepting Schools Act, 2012, received Royal Assent. The Act comes into force on September 1, 2012.
While the legislation is relatively short, it does impose a number of responsibilities on principals, school boards and the Ministry of Education. Over the next few weeks, this blog will cover these responsibilities as well as some of the other changes that will impact schools in September.
